The Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal has upheld the dismissal of a N1.5bn libel suit instituted by a former Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sullivan Chime, against The Guardian Newspaper and Chief Okechukwu Ezea, his opponent in the 2007 gubernatorial election.

Chime had alleged that  Ezea defamed him  through a publication on page seven of  The Guardian Newspaper of August 14, 2007.

The video, which was posted online last week has gone viral with millions of views. Model Praksters said did the experiment to determine how observant people of New York City are. They are apparently not very observant as 90% of the people who walked past Leah didn’t even notice she was na ked. See the photos Below…

Yinka Quadri starts N20million poultry business

55 year old veteran yoruba actor has started a poultry business and we hear it cost him about N20million. See excerpts from his recent interview with Encomium below:

What’s the latest from your stable right now?
I am working on another blockbuster, The Moon (Osupa).  And just as I have promised my fans that I won’t disappoint them, Osupa is going to be better than all the movies I have produced so far.  Also, I want to use this medium to appreciate all my fans for their support from inception till date.  If not them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.  Then, another project I just embarked upon has to do with poultry.

What informed going into poultry?
I just felt I should also support my country with what I have, and I thought going into poultry farming will serve that purpose.  It has also been on my mind to use what I am and what I have to benefit mankind and support Nigeria.  So, with that project, I believe if I commit the little I am able to get from my career as a theatre practitioner into poultry, I will be able to generate employment for some or few of the unemployed youths.  Even beyond that, it’s also going to benefit a lot of people in different ways.

Why we won’t Sell War Helicopters to Nigeria –America reveals

The United States has defended its refusal to sell cobra helicopters to Nigeria, saying the Government is free to buy fighter jets from any other country.

“Nigeria has purchased helicopters that originated in countries other than the US and nothing in our decision prevents Nigeria from obtaining weapons and equipment from other sources,” its State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said on Wednesday.
Psaki was responding to questions from journalists on the allegations by the Nigerian Ambassador to the US, Prof. Adebowale Adefuye, that Washington declined to sell lethal arms to Nigeria.
Adefuye had also told members of the Council on Foreign Relations that Washington was not doing enough to assist Nigeria in combating the Boko Haram insurgency in North-East zone of the country.

She said sound macroeconomic management is crucial to Nigeria at this time, while also emphasising the need to plug all revenue leakages.
