Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar who at some point frequently had negative comments being written about her in the media says she was depressed because of the negative comments. Bomb Blast Hits Secondary School in Yobe, 47 Confirmed Dead, 79 Injured

 

Many students are feared dead after a bomb went off during assembly this morning at Government Science & Technical Secondary School, Potiskum Yobe State. A teacher and a medic told AFP:

“The students had gathered for the morning assembly when something exploded in their midst with a thunderous sound‎ at exactly 7:50 am (0650 GMT). The explosion has affected many students but I can’t say how many because we are now evacuating the victims to the hospital which is just 100 metres (yards) away,” the teacher added, sobbing.

Two teenagers arrested for homosexual SEX.

Two teenagers, Gideon Harrison, 19, and Ifeanyi Ezeorji, 14, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly having homosexual sex. The incident happened around the Ikotun area of the state where the two were caught red handed in the act with Harrison acting the man while having sex with Ezeorji through the anus. They were arrested by the Ikotun Police division and have been charged for sodomy.

It was revealed that while Ezeorji was a Senior Secondary School 1 student of Igando High School, Ikotun Road, Harrison had just finished his secondary school education.

According to the police, the complainant, one Toheeb Adekunle, who stays on Muka Street, Ijegun Road and works inside the Ikotun Motor Park, caught the two boys in the act, and reported the matter to the police. Adekunle was said to have told the police that Harrison had the habit of sleeping with boys in the area.

APC gov aspirant arrested over PDP agent’s killing in Lagos

An electoral agent of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, was allegedly shot dead at Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos, yesterday, during the ongoing distribution of Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The deceased, identified as Sikiru Ogboye, was allegedly shot dead at Oriledu, Ibeju Lekki, by suspected thugs while he was monitoring the PVC distribution. Vanguard learnt that the incident was reported at Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, following which the culprits were reportedly arrested.

Vanguard reports that, a chieftain of PDP in the state, Chief Bode Oyedele, condemned the killing and blamed the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the incident.

Six suspected kidnappers engaged Anambra State Police Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in a gun battle at Okpoko in Ogbaru local government area yesterday November 9th, and three members of the gang were killed, while Mrs. Edith Maduekwe, who had been kidnapped by the gang was rescued.

 

Mrs. Maduekwe, who was kidnapped by the suspects on October 4th, at Oba in Idemili South LGA, was rescued at an erosion site in Oraukwu in Idemili North local government area of the state.

 

After the shoot out, N776, 000, one AK-47 rifle with 90 rounds of ammunition one pump action gun and 10 live cartridges, assorted charms and other weapons.
